What Gets Translated
When a supported language is selected, most areas of the platform will appear in your chosen language.
Included
- Your onboarding experience โ welcome screens, instructions, and email communications.
- Assessment questions, pre- and post-assessment screens.
- Skills profile, programs, AI mentor experience, and Skill Checks.
- All live signature capabilities.
- Voice and audio assessment items (for Workera-supported languages where voice mode is enabled).
- Navigation, UI labels, and general platform interface.
Not Translated
- Learning content from third-party providers (Coursera, Udemy, Udacity, LinkedIn Learning, etc.) - availability depends on what each provider offers.
- Customer support and scoring appeals - these are handled in English.
- The Workera Help Center - this remains in English.
Choosing a Language During Onboarding
If you are a new user invited to Workera, you can set your preferred language right from the start, before you begin any assessments.
- When you first log in, you will see the Workera welcome screen. Click the dropdown arrow next to your profile icon in the top-right corner.
- From the menu, click the language shown (e.g. "English") to open the language selector.
- In the "Select your preferred language" modal, choose your preferred language.
- Click Save. The platform will immediately update to your chosen language.
- You can now continue through onboarding in your preferred language.
Changing Your Language After Onboarding
You can also update your language preference at any time from within the platform, even after you have completed onboarding. To change the language at a later time:
- Click your name or profile icon in the bottom-left corner of the platform to open the account menu.
- Click the language currently shown (e.g. "English") to open the language selector.
- In the "Select your preferred language" modal, choose your preferred language.
-
Click Save. The interface will update instantly.
๐ก Tip: Your language preference is saved automatically and will be restored every time you return to the platform, including on the login page.
Changing Your Language From the Login Page
If your account is already set to a supported non-English language, Workera may automatically show that language the next time you sign in. If it does not, you can also set your language before logging in, directly from the Workera login page.
- Go to the Workera login page.
- In the bottom-left corner of the page, click the language selector (it shows your current language, e.g. "English").
- Choose your preferred language from the dropdown.
- Your selection will be remembered when you log in.
Changing Languages During an Assessment
๐จ Important: Once you begin an assessment, you can no longer change the language for that assessment. Make sure to set your preferred language before starting.
To take an assessment in a different language, choose your preferred language before starting the assessment!
This helps make sure your assessment experience and results are based on one consistent language from start to finish.
Important Notes
- AI Language Translations are generated by AI. They are designed to support usability and comprehension, but they are not human-reviewed or certified. Translations may not always be perfectly accurate.
- English remains the source of truth. If something appears unclear in translation, refer to the English version or contact Workera Support.
- Your language preference does not affect your scores. All assessment scoring is anchored to the English source content. Switching languages does not create a separate score or change your benchmark results.
- Previously generated content (such as completed assessments) will still appear in the language it was originally generated in, even after switching languages.
- You can switch back to English at any time; there are no restrictions on toggling.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will changing my language affect my assessment scores?
No. All scoring is anchored to the English source content. Switching languages does not change your scores or how you are benchmarked against your peers.
Can I change my language during an assessment?
No. Once you begin an assessment, the language is locked for that assessment session. Make sure to set your preferred language before you start.
Can I switch back to English at any time?
Yes. You can switch back to English at any time from the language selector in your account menu, or from the login page. There are no restrictions on toggling between languages.
Will my language preference be remembered next time I log in?
Yes. Your language preference is saved automatically in your browser and restored every time you return to the platform, including on the login page.
What if a translation seems incorrect?
AI Language Translations are designed to make Workera easier to use, but translations may not always be perfect. If something seems unclear or incorrect, you can switch back to English at any time. You can also contact Workera Support for help.
Does voice mode work in other languages?
Yes when voice mode and translations are both enabled, assessment questions will be narrated in your selected language, and your spoken responses will be recognized and transcribed accordingly.
